AET Tankers Pte Ltd in Singapore have opted to install Dualog Connection Suite
on board their entire fleet of 71 ships.
“We are very satisfied with the product,” says Richard Lim, Support Services Manager IT at AET Tankers, drawing particular attention to the system’s private crew mail solution.
“Access to private email is, of course, a good thing for the welfare of the crew. At the same time, we can now include all our crew members in the overall flow of information within the corporate system.”
“The system has also received praise for its simplicity and user-friendliness. The Dualog Connection Suite helps us save time and effort, which in turn means cutting company costs ,” says Lim.
“Furthermore, the people at Dualog have been extremely good at listening to us and understanding our culture, our needs and our requirements,” Lim adds.
“This includes the sales people and developers both here in Singapore, and from the Dualog head office.

Dualog give their all for the Customer |
Glasgow-based Northern Marine Management went in for Dualog,
and has great expectations.
STEADY COURSE: IT Manager Bill Caldwell of Northern Marine Management is relieved and delighted
that the company chose Dualog Connection Suite.
“At least so far, we can confirm that this is a company where they give their all for the customer,” says IT Manager Bill Caldwell of Northern Marine Management (NMM).
The shipping company operates 60 ships all over the world, mostly tankers, but also container ships. It has now taken extensive measures with regard to communication between their shipping offices and fleet.
NMM opted for Dualog Connection Suite software, and the company Dualog.
“Previously, our own IT department was responsible for communications between sea and land. But we were looking for a company that could take over these tasks for us,” says Caldwell.
“Dualog had the best technology, but in our case it is just as much a matter of trust and security,” he says, adding that in this respect, Dualog emerges with considerable credibility.
“We have had close contact with the people at Dualog for a long time, and there is no doubt that they really care about our needs,” Caldwell explains.
“Furthermore, Dualog are unusually open to ideas and suggestions from us, their customers. In this way, we also become involved in the development of the product.”
“It is also an advantage to us as a British company, that the Norwegian company Dualog has an office in Liverpool. We know Chris Walton at Dualog UK, and we know that he is number one when it comes to data technology and shipping,” says Caldwell.
